How Do You Know Your Gifts--Unless You Try to Use Them?
I first came to know Jesus Christ at Friendship Agape. Surrounded by many caring brothers and sisters, I learned how to study the Bible, sing in the choir, lead worship and teach Bible study.
In a small church, there are many areas I can try to serve. I don't have to worry about my inexperience or criticisms from others. As long as I am willing, the church has numerous places for me. If I were to be in a larger church, I may not have the same opportunities to stand on the stage to lead worship or teach the youth group. Over the years, this experience allowed me to discover my spiritual gifts.
Sometimes I feel I am very incapable to serve in the ministry. Through the years of walking with God, He has never let His ministry fail. God reminded me that He can use anyone--as long as that person is called by Him and willing to be used by Him.
